WISH SENTENCE
Mệnh đề danh từ đi sau động từ WISH thường diễn tả một điều ước không có thật trong thực tế. Chương trình lớp 9 có các dạng câu sau đây:

B. SENTENCE TRANSFORMATION:
Để chuyển đổi một câu chủ động thành bị động ta thực hiện theo 4 bước sau:
- Bước 1: Xác định 3 thành phần chính: chủ ngữ (S), động từ (V) và tân ngữ(O).
- Bước 2: Chuyển Tân ngữ của câu chủ động thành chủ ngữ của câu bị động.
- Bước 3: Chuyển chủ ngữ của câu chủ động thành tân ngữ của câu bị động, đi kèm với “by”.
- Bước 4: Chuyển động từ theo dạng BE + PP (tùy theo thì của câu chủ động).
Lưu ý:
- By + O đặt trước trạng từ chỉ thời gian và sau trạng từ chỉ nơi chốn.
- By + me / you / him / her / it / us / them / people / someone sẽ được bỏ đi.

Câu gián tiếp là hình thức tường thuật lại lời nói của người khác.

Thường thì để đổi một câu từ trực tiếp sang gián tiếp, ta sẽ đổi các thành phần động từ, trạng từ và đại từ.
